So you’re wondering what this site is all about and why it could be relevant to you as a parent?

Let me start by telling you about myself. Although I have a degree in mathematics I wasn’t born with any special abilities when it comes to numbers. In fact, probably quite the opposite: By the time I was in high school I had no interest in mathematics and I even pretended the subject and the teacher didn’t exist. As you might guess: This didn’t result in good grades.

Then how did I end up getting a master in mathematics?

After graduating from high school I realised that none of the other subjects interested me quite enough to actually want to study them. So by method of elimination I enrolled as a maths major. The rest is history.

Now that I have rediscovered my love of mathematics I want to give this joy to as many people as possible and the best place to start is: Kids!
